Background |
|
UN Women, grounded in the vision of equality enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations, works for the elimination of discrimination against women and girls; the empowerment of women; and the achievement of equality between women and men as partners and beneficiaries of development, human rights, humanitarian action and peace and security. The Unstereotype Alliance is a thought and action platform convened by UN Women that brings together a powerful global coalition of industry leaders from the private sector behind the common goal of eliminating gender bias and harmful gender stereotypes from their advertising. To achieve its goal of driving systemic change at a global level, the Unstereotype Alliance will be implementing its first, public-facing ‘Business to Consumer’ (B2C) communications campaign. This initiative aims to create a movement by driving awareness, engagement and action from the public regarding unconscious bias and stereotypes. The Unstereotype Alliance will also hold its annual summit in March which will be conducted virtually for the first time. This annual gathering brings together global and national members of the Alliance to establish priorities for the year ahead, and build momentum and commitment from attendees to achieve progress in the eradication of stereotypes from advertising and media. The Unstereotype Alliance Secretariat at UN Women hereby seeks to recruit a Campaign Coordinator Consultant to manage and support both initiatives. Under the supervision of the Head of the Unstereotype Alliance Secretariat (HUAS), the Campaign Coordinator Consultant will work closely with the Strategic Communications and Brand Building Consultant on all aspects of project management and stakeholder engagement. This will include coordinating all campaign partners and outputs from creative development through to production, deployment and implementation of the B2C campaign. In addition, the Campaign Coordinator Consultant will be responsible for the project management and co-ordination of the Unstereotype Alliance Annual Global Summit.
