UN Women Regional Office for Arab States (ROAS) is implementing the programme “Women, Peace and Security in the Arab States- Phase II” (2019-2022), with the overall objective of enabling the implementation of women, peace, and security commitments through policy change and community level action. Phase II of the programme is structured around the following two outcomes:
Under the supervision of the Regional Advisor on Women, Peace, Security and Humanitarian Action – UN Women, Regional Office for Arab States, the Programme Analyst contributes to the effective management of UN Women programmes in the RO by providing substantive inputs to programme design, formulation, implementation and evaluation. S/he guides and facilitates the delivery of UN Women programmes by monitoring results achieved during implementation and ensuring appropriate application of systems and procedures and develops enhancements if necessary. S/he works in close collaboration with the programme and operations team, UN Women HQ staff, Government officials, multi and bi-lateral donors and civil society ensuring successful UN Women programme implementation under the portfolio. In the context of the last year of programme implementation, the programme analyst also works towards the operational closure of the programme and the coordination of its evaluation.

Contribute technically to the development of programme strategies in the area of women, peace and security:

Provide substantive inputs to advocacy, knowledge building and communication efforts:
