Background |

UN Women, grounded in the vision of equality enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations, works for the elimination of discrimination against women and girls; the empowerment of women; and the achievement of equality between women and men as partners and beneficiaries of development, human rights, humanitarian action and peace and security. Reporting to the Country Representative, the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting Specialist will be responsible for the CO’s monitoring, evaluation, and reporting work. This will include ensuring compliance with corporate programme/project management requirements and supporting effective monitoring and reporting. The incumbent works in close collaboration with the Deputy Country Representative and the programmes and operations team; UN Women Regional office, Government officials, multi and bi-lateral donors, and civil society to help deliver the UN Women mandate in Nigeria.

Duties and Responsibilities |
|
Summary of Key Functions: Provide technical support and capacity building to the country office team to improve Results Monitoring and Results Based Reporting:
Manage the Results Monitoring System (RMS) and provide technical support to Country Office programme team and partners:
Provide quality assurance and technical support to country offices in program management and monitoring:
Provide technical support in the reporting of results to internal and external audiences:
Provide Inter-Agency Coordination Support and strategic partnerships building
Contribute to knowledge management
Impact of Results The above key results have an impact on the effective planning, monitoring and reporting of UN Women results and the implementation of Results Based Management (RBM) principles at the Country office.
