Placing women's rights at the center of all its efforts, UN Women leads and coordinates United Nations system efforts to ensure that commitments on gender equality and gender mainstreaming translate into action throughout the world. It provides strong and coherent leadership in support of Member States' priorities and efforts, building effective partnerships with civil society and other relevant actors. Through its programmes and projects, UN Women is providing technical assistance to national partners (governmental and non-governmental) in the implementation of existing international and national commitments to women’s rights and gender equality, it facilitates networking and exchange of good practices and advocates for women’s rights and gender equality in all areas of life. UN Women is the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women. Its activity is aimed on work for the elimination of discrimination against women and girls; women empowerment; the achievement of equality between women and men as partners and beneficiaries of development; human rights; as well as humanitarian actions, peace and security. The UN Women supports the UN Member States in their efforts to meet international standards to achieve gender equality and works together with intergovernmental agencies and civil society to develop law, policies, programs and services to ensure effective implementation of these standards, and benefit women and girls across the world. Under the overall guidance of the Head of Office and the direct supervision of the Finance and Administrative Assistant, the Administrative/Filing Clerk provides support to office operations performing a variety of standard administrative processes ensuring high quality and accuracy of work. The Administrative/Filling Clerk promotes a client, quality and results-oriented approach.
The Administrative/ Filling Clerk works in close collaboration with the operations and programme staff and all personnel in programme office to exchange information and ensure consistent service delivery.
