Specifically, the project will support strengthening the governing bodies of journalists associations through democratic internal elections and finding solutions for their financial sustainability. In addition the project will encourage those organizations and a future association of media owners and managers to cooperate among them, through consortiums and/or purchasing centers to look for cost sharing solutions to improve financial health of the sector, and consequently their independence.
In this context, the Project will support the organization of the Guinea-Bissau Journalists’ congress scheduled to take place between 15 and 16 March in Bissau.
