Background

UN Women, grounded in the vision of equality enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations, works for the elimination of discrimination against women and girls, the empowerment of women, and the achievement of equality between women and men as partners and beneficiaries of development, human rights, humanitarian action and peace and security. Placing women's rights at the center of all its efforts, UN Women leads and coordinates United Nations system efforts to ensure that commitments on gender equality and gender mainstreaming translate into action throughout the world.

The UN Women Strategic Partnership Division (SPD) is responsible for proactively driving the strategic positioning of UN Women and ensure that the size, sources and predictability of its resources help the organization achieve its strategic goals.  The division is organized into three functional clusters: Resource Mobilization, Private Sector, and Communications & Advocacy.

The Strategic Partnership Division seeks to enlist a Graphic Design Intern (internal communications) to support the work of the Directorate. S/he will assist the Director to produce presentations in pdf format by translating corporate and fundraising ideas and strategic concepts into attractive diagrams, charts and graphs, whiteboard animation, illustrations and icon- and/or photo-based graphics. These presentations will be used for pitching ideas internally among UN Women colleagues and to external stakeholders, such as donors.
