In UNDP’s Country Programme Document 2021-2025, UNDP position itself as a policy advisor to support China’s reform.

 

Each year, the UNDP China formulates many documents, including policy briefs, knowledge products, research reports, as well as other publications. As an international organization, we attach great value not only to the content, but also the format and visualization that can best represent the organization. We expect each publication to be comprehensive and understandable in terms of content, as well as creative in design.

Devoirs et responsabilités

The overall objective to set up this Long-Term Agreement (LTA) is to support UNDP China CO. The Graphic Designer will provide creative design and layout services of multiple publications, digital and online products, as well as animated graphics. The Graphic Designer will produce products based on the content and guidance provided by the hiring unit for each assignment ensuring effective conveyance of the textual content to target audiences while in full compliance with UNDP branding and style guide. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Timely communication with UNDP China to make sure specific requirement could be met;
  • Layout design of UNDP-issued brochures, flyers, and other materials;
  • Filtering and editing the relevant pictures that are provided by UNDP CO;
  • Participating in discussions through workshops, e-mail exchanges, teleconference etc.

 

Expected Outputs/deliverables:

The outputs for each specific assignment will depend on scope of work engaged by the hiring unit. List of deliverables may include, but not limited to, the followings:

• Graphic design for all types of communication materials;

• Layout design and typesetting for printed and electronic publications;

• Artwork editing of photos and other graphic elements.

Qualifications et expériences requises

Education

  • University degree in Industrial Art, Graphic Design, or diploma on completion of training course on professional graphic design.

 

Experience

  • A minimum one years of experience working as a graphic designer in a multicultural, international environment;
  • Experience in producing designs for the United Nations, governments or international nonprofits or advocacy campaigns will be an advantage;
  • Strong graphic design skills, including the mastery of all standard design software included in the Adobe Creative Suite;
  • A good command of an animation editing software.

 

Language

  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese.

 

Evaluation Criteria

Candidates will be assessed based on the following technical criteria:


- Technical Evaluation (70)

  • Job Related Technical Expertise (20);
  • Relevant working experience (20);
  • Methodology & Approach to assignment (30).

- Financial Evaluation (30)

The final evaluation method will be based on a cumulative analysis of both the technical and financial proposals.
