The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime in Iran has developed number of relevant evidence-based tools and guidelines. These documents are adapted and evaluated in various countries, in addition to Iran to enhance the knowledge and capacities of national experts and practitioners at public and private health centres, prisons, DICs, and CSOs while used through training workshops and events. UNODC Iran under the Sub-Programme 3, "Drug Use Prevention, Treatment, Rehabilitation, and HIV Care" supports the development and expansion of quality public health services and programmes that are accessible to the relevant vulnerable groups, including people who use and/or inject drugs and inmates aiming at reducing the demand for drugs, mitigating the public health and social consequences of drug abuse, and protecting vulnerable individuals, families and communities from drug addiction and HIV.

 

To this end, the DDR Unit is adapting the three training packages of UNODC, namely Family United, Line up – Live up, Strong Families, and SOLVE developed by International Training Centre of the ILO based on the outcome of the meetings with national partners and based on their inputs/comments. The packages consist of but are not limited to:

  • Family United: Main manual and Supplementary materials;
  • Line up, Live up: Manual booklet, Log book and Cards;
  • Strong Families: Main manual;
  • SOLVE: Workbook.

 

The individual contractor to be hired under the present terms of reference provides expertise and skills to design and edit the booklets and documents in accordance with the original UNODC booklets.

The contractor will be responsible for completing following activities:

 

  • Design/Graphics services focusing on achievement of the following results:
  1. Design, layout and format publications, and other printed and web-based communications materials considering UNODC branding guidelines, and branding requirements of other donors/partners, as needed;
  2. Improve and edit all artworks, photos, charts and other graphic elements for communication and promotional materials;
  3. Determine size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, and select style and size or type, and develop infographics using supplied data to present core messages and organize complex information into visual representations;
  4. Advise UNODC Iran/DDR staff on best design options (for the given content), and propose multiple versions for their consideration;
  5. Incorporate comments and changes from UNODC Iran/DDR team
  6. Ensure that the final output(s) for each communication product will be the final web-ready and/or print-ready version;

Qualifications et expériences requises

Education:

·         Minimum high school Diploma in the field of design and graphics. 

Experience:

  1. Minimum three years of proven working experience in the field of design and graphic tools.
  2. Provide a portfolio (electronic) of works implemented with private and/or public institutions on graphic design, layout and document development, and communication materials. (Note: shortlisted candidates will be required to provide hard copies of their previous designs as part of evaluation process.)
  3. Professional knowledge of graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and/or Illustrator, Affinity DesignerCorelDRAW, etc. and office software (MS Word, Excel, etc.).
  4. Experience of working on documents related to Drug demand Reduction and familiarity with the specialized vocabulary, would be desired.

Language requirement:

Fluency in written and Oral English and Farsi is mandatory.
