In addition, OHR provides a broad range of HR advisory and talent management services enabling UNDP to deliver fully integrated development solutions at corporate level. In this context, OHR is focused on the implementation of an ambitious and forward-looking three-year strategy, People for 2030, which will progressively transform UNDP’s culture and enable its workforce capacity to deliver more and better results.
Through People for 2030, OHR aims to be at the leading edge of HR in the international development sector by developing high quality and innovative human resources solutions and driving transformation across UNDP.
In this renewed and dynamic framework, OHR is seeking high caliber professionals with a capacity, commitment, and attitude needed to generate a culture characterized by innovation, entrepreneurship and a focus on delivering transformative outcomes.
In this context, and under the supervision of the People for 2030 Implementation Coordinator, OHR are sourcing an intern to support the implementation of People for 2030’s engagement strategy. The aims of the People for 2030 communication strategy are: the promotion of the programme both internally and externally to UNDP; encouraging the engagement of staff across the world; informing staff on changes that have been made and what these changes mean for them.
In order to realize these aims, People for 2030 is reliant on high quality communication both internally and externally with the aim of:
- Engaging and motivating a network of over 150 People for 2030 Champions in UNDP offices across the world,
- Designing promotional materials including posters, leaflets and PowerPoints,
- Managing the social media content, including Twitter and LinkedIn posts, writing blogs and preparing staff for interviews,
- Increased use of multimedia including videos, webinars and podcasts.
This is a role for someone who primarily wishes to demonstrate their ability to implement a communication plan for a major transformational programme with one of the largest UN entities; UNDP. Specifically, the incumbent will be required to manage the online community of People Champions through engaged interaction on MS Teams and other internal channels of communication.
Full or part-time for 3-6 months, the job requires creativity, enthusiasm to learn, and the ability to meet deadlines and maintain high-quality of output working under pressure.
Devoirs et responsabilités
The internship will be organized around these main activities:
- Manage the People Champion Community online through the use of MS Teams,
- Responsible for setting and delivering the engagement plan for the People Champion Community
- Responsible for providing feedback to OHR Management on issues arising and communicating solutions back to the community.
- Compose blogs, articles and interviews discussing People for 2030
- Manage and develop the use of multimedia tools for People for 2030
- Innovate new ideas to realize the communication goals of People for 2030: Engage personnel, Promote People for 2030 and inform all personnel.
