Historique

OAI reports to the Administrator of UNDP and is responsible for internal audit and investigations services to UNDP and its affiliated entities. OAI provides independent, objective assurance on the effectiveness of risk management and the effectiveness and adequacy of internal controls.

OAI has a decentralized organizational structure with five Regional Audit Centers (RAC) located in Malaysia, Panama, Senegal, Turkey, and South Africa. At the Headquarters level, OAI has the Investigations Section, the Headquarters Audit Section, the Special Advisory Services Section (SAS), the Information and Communication Technology Audit Section (ICTAS), the Quality Assurance and Policy Unit and the Directorate.

In delivering on its mandate, OAI is committed to take full advantage of data available in UNDP and beyond for efficient audit, accompanying UNDP’s digital agenda, and supporting the journey towards strengthening data quality, protection, and privacy. It has therefore developed data analytics tools and applications, to fully support audit work and embed data analytics in OAI’s methodology and processes. Work in this space is undertaken in close collaboration with the IT Division, and other business units.

UNDP’s main Enterprise Resource Planning system is transitioning to Oracle Cloud in July 2022. Other systems are also used by UNDP to collect, process, use and report data in support of UNDP’s mission objectives. The tools utilized in OAI to support the analytics activities are mainly SQL-like databases, Power BI, and Excel.

This is a call for internship for the period 2022-2024. OAI will select top two applicants for internship beginning around September 2022. One intern will work under direct supervision of the Chief of ICTAS, another intern will report to the Deputy Director (audit).
