In particular, the consultant will, for the working groups under his/her responsibility:
- Coordinate and oversee the activities of the working groups, including undertaking any necessary task for the implementation of such activities.
- Coordinate and maintain regular contact with working groups members.
- Organize meetings of the working groups.
- Monitor the activities of the working groups including drafting annual and other progress reports.
- Coordinate and oversee the implementation of specific activities in the annual work plan of the Network which fall outside the work of the working groups as requested by the head of the office.
- Collaborate with the communications specialist in RPOCI to ensure adequate project knowledge management.
- Represent the Network in events in Africa, Spain, and other relevant locations.

Qualifications et expériences requises
Education:
- Masters Degree in human rights, law, gender studies, social sciences or related relevant field.
Experience:
- Minimum five years of experience working in Africa on women´s empowerment or gender and development issues.
- Extensive knowledge of the African region, African governance architecture in the area of gender, African institutions, and African women´s organizations and networks.
Languages:
- Fluency in English and French is compulsory.
- Excellent writing skills in English are compulsory.
- Knowledge or ability to work in Spanish will be considered an advantage.
