Community Security and Stabilization programme (C2SP) intends to contribute to the stability and resilience of the selected communities, which are at the risk of being drawn into conflicts in the six states of South Kordofan, Blue Nile, West Kordofan, White Nile, Sennar and North Kordofan. It aims to achieve this by: (i) Strengthening resilience of target communities through provision of diversified alternative livelihoods for at-risk groups primarily focussing on unemployed youth who are at risk of being drawn into conflicts, refugees, IDPs, returnees and at-risk women, (ii) Creating a conducive environment for graduated small arms control at the sub regional, national and community level to reduce the occurrence of armed conflicts and loss of life, (iii) Provision of socio-economic infrastructure in targeted communities having direct relevance to the conflicts, (iv) Strengthening the communities to manage the community infrastructure and NGO/CBO service providers for improved service delivery to target beneficiaries and communities for long term peace and stability, (v) Promoting cross-border cooperation among the communities and authorities for enhancing stability at the bordering communities.

 

Devoirs et responsabilités

  1. Develop work plan and survey tools in coordination with the UNDP team;
  2.  Conduct desk review and compilation of existing data;
  3.  Collection of survey data or case studies (depending on travel permits);
  4. Produce a final draft products (designing will be done by a designer).

  • Previous working experience of the required and should have sufficient relevant experience of minimum 5 years in the field of monitoring and evaluation;
  • The consultant shall have the skills and relevant education background in statistics and social science;
  • Ability to work in a timely manner and complete work within set deadlines;
  • Focuses on impact and results for the client and responds positively to feedback.

Qualifications et expériences requises

Education:

Master’s degree (or equivalent) in social sciences or any other relevant field.

Experience:

  • 5 years of relevant international development experience and should have proven record of public information/communications skills;
  • Should have relevant experience working with national counterparts;
  • Solid academic background in community development and PI/comms;
  • Experience in post-conflict countries preferred;
  • Familiarity with the context of Sudan is an asset.
