Objective of the Assignment:

The selected candidate is expected to design and facilitate the 2019 Staff Retreat of the Egypt Country Office, and prepare a summary report with recommended follow-up action points:

  • To facilitate a shared overview and vision of the Country office’s programme for 2019 and beyond. 
  • To build commitment to teamwork, understand its importance to achieving objectives, and identify the contribution each staff members can make.

Devoirs et responsabilités

Deliverable 1:  Formulation of objectives and development of draft agenda

In preparation for the retreat, the consultant will develop an agreed to set of objectives and an agenda for the retreat. The consultant will submit a set of draft objectives and a proposed agenda to the Country Office for their review and comment. The consultant will revise both the objectives and the proposed agenda in line with the revisions requested by the Country Office. 

Deliverable 2:  Design of retreat activities and methodology to achieve the required objectives

Once the objectives and the agenda have been agreed, the consultant will provide the following deliverables:

  • An outline of the retreat methodology;
  • An outline of the planned activities, group work, group games and other suggestions;
  • A list of the recommended setup (to be discussed with retreat venue), and supplies and materials (to be provided by the Country Office).

Deliverable 3:  Delivery of retreat facilitation and coaching sessions

The consultant will deliver the retreat workshop at a venue identified by the Country Office in Egypt. The retreat workshop will be held in June 2019.

Deliverable 4: Formulation of a comprehensive report and recommendations on the outcomes of the retreat.

Qualifications et expériences requises

Education:

  • MA in Communication, Human Development, Organizational Development, Political Science, Social Science, or any other related fields.

Experience:

  • At least 10 years of demonstrated work experience in leadership, workshop's faciliation and coaching.
  • Previous experience working/consulting for international organizations; preferbly within the UN System.

Computer skills:

  • Proficient computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Office tools, as well as planning, monitoring and cooperation online tools and portals.

Language Requirements:

  • Fluency in English, excellent spoken and written skills.

Evaluation Criteria

UN Women applies a fair and transparent selection process that takes into account both the technical qualification of potential consultants as well as the financial proposals submitted in support of consultant applications.

Individual consultants will be evaluated based on the following methodology:

Cumulative analysis

When using this weighted scoring method, the award of the contract should be made to the individual consultant whose offer has been evaluated and determined as:

  • Responsive/compliant/acceptable; and
  • Having received the highest score out of a pre-determined set of weighted technical and financial criteria specific to the solicitation.
  • Technical Criteria weight: 70%;
  • Financial Criteria weight: 30%.

Only candidates obtaining a minimum of 49 points in the technical evaluation would be considered for the Financial Evaluation.

Criteria Weight Technical: 70%:

  • Relevance of the educational background to the TOR requirements (20%)
  • Relevance of professional experience and proven established record in human  development, workshops facilitation and coaching. Applicable consulting experience for multinational corporations, international organizations and/or the UN System (40%)

  • Proficiency in computer skills / Microsoft Office, as well as Fluency in English, excellent spoken and written skills (10%)

Financial - Lowest financial proposal: 30%, (offer must be a lumpsum all inclusive (fees, airticket, accomodation, transportation, meals,...etc).

Payment terms: Lumsum all inclusive distributed over the deliveravles, as follows:

1st Payment: 20% for:

  • Deliverable 1: Formulation of objectives and development of drafts agenda.
  • Deliverable 2: Design of retreat activities and methodology to achieve the required objectives.

2nd Payment: 50% for:

  • Deliverable 3: Delivery of retreat faciliation and coaching sessions

3rd Payment: 30% for:

  • Deliverable 4: Formulation of a comprehensive report and recommendations on the outcomes of the reteart.

Contract will be awarded to the technically qualified consultant who obtains the highest combines score (financial and technical).

The points for the Financial Proposal will be allocated as per the following formula:

  • (Lowest Bid Offered*)/ (Bid of the Consultant) x 30;
  • "Lowest Bid Offered" refers to the lowest price offered by Offer or scoring at least 49 points in technical evaluation.
