The Sustainable Development Goals Integrated Solutions Platform pilot project is a joint initiative by UNDP, ILO and the Resident Coordinator’s Office (RCO) on behalf of the UN Country Team (UNCT). This initiative was conceptualised to support the follow up and review process of the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda by generating and testing new data strategies and promoting informed and inclusive policy making.

One component of this project is a tool that tracks and visualizes public sector, private sector and development partner investment towards the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Sri Lanka. This provides an overview of the SDG financing ecosystem in the country, and, in doing so, identifies where funding gaps exist. This initiative, for the first time, brings together government commitments, private sector contributions and official development assistance towards the SDGs and highlights the potential for innovative funding opportunities which could bring Sri Lanka closer to achieving peaceful, just, inclusive and equitable development for its people.

The other component of the platform is an innovative space that brings diverse stakeholders together to participate in curated discussions around the SDGs. Referred to as ‘UNLOCKED’, this space offers users the opportunity to speak up on issues that matter, promote research and reach out to a wide network of thought leaders helping to shape Sri Lanka’s future.
