The Human Resources (HR) Intern will provide HR services ensuring high quality, accuracy and consistency of work. The HR Intern will promote a client-oriented and consistent with  rules and regulations approach in the Unit. The HR Intern will work in close collaboration with  the operations, programme and projects’ staff in the CO to exchange information and ensure consistent service delivery.

Devoirs et responsabilités

Under the direct supervision of HR Analyst, the Human Resources Intern will undertake the following tasks:

  • Ensure full compliance of HR processes and records with UN/UNDP rules, regulations, policies and strategies;
  • Maintain proper filing system for HR records and documents in electronic and hard copies;
  • Provide support in recruitment processes by advertising vacancies on job-search sites and networks, collecting background information and documents from the candidates;
  • Prepare routine correspondence, certificates, faxes, memoranda, minutes and reports in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP);
  • Extract, input, copy and file data from various sources;
  • Participate in the training for the operations team on HR related matters;
  • Contribute to knowledge networks and communities of practice.

Impact of Results:

  • Timely and quality HR services provided to projects and UN Agencies.

Qualifications et expériences requises

Education:

  • Enrolled student of graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher) in Human Resources, Management, Economics, Business Administration, Public Administration, Social Science, International Relations or related field;
  • Enrolled student in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s level or equivalent) in Human Resources, Management, Economics, Business Administration, Public Administration, Social Science, International Relations or related field;
  • Graduate student within one-year of graduation of any of the above.

Experience: 

  • Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.);
  • Experience in handling of web-based management systems would be an asset.

Language Requirements:

  • Fluency in English, Ukrainian and Russian.
