The Office of the Ombudsman for United Nations Funds and Programmes (the “Office”) is established as an informal pillar of the system of administration of justice within the UN to make available the services of impartial and independent persons to address work-related issues of staff members and non-staff personnel of the UN Funds and Programmes serving UNDP, UNICEF, UNOPS, UNFPA and UN Women. The Mediation Unit of the Office is now looking for a consultant to provide with the graphic design of various materials and resources related to mediation and other conflict resolution services, including the development of a mediation e-newsletter.

Devoirs et responsabilités |

With general oversight by the Mediation Specialist, the consultant will be responsible for the following duties and deliverables:
In the first phase of the project, the designer will be requested to submit a one-page design of the newsletter, based on which the Office will evaluate the candidates and select the designer for the next 12-months. The designer will work on an on-call basis depending on the available projects and needs of the Office.

Qualifications et expériences requises |
|
Experience: The applicants should have proven experience in graphic design and development of electronic newsletters.
Experience in the legal or conflict management industry is an asset.
Language:
Knowledge of another UN Official Language would be an asset.
Schedule of payments The payment will be an “all- inclusive” lump sum. The payments will be made based on the deliverables.
To present your proposal, please send as one attachment: one-page design of the newsletter along with your portfolio. Applicants that fail to submit a one-page design of the mediation newsletter will not be considered. Please carefully review the webpage of the Office and the documents posted thereon such as annual reports to have the general feel of the colors and style that may be required for the newsletter.
