The Enterprise Application Development (EAD) unit of the Information Technology Services (ITS) is responsible for developing sustainable and affordable IT solutions to meet UNOV/UNODC requirements, also enabling availability of the solutions more generally across the UN Secretariat entities.

The India Technical Hub (EAD-ITH) based in New Delhi forms part of the ITS's vital delivery pillars in keeping with the UN's revised ICT strategy. As part of this strategy and under the Head – ITH; the Software Quality Engineer will work with a team of highly motivated software professionals and ensure the highest quality of final software products.

Devoirs et responsabilités

  • Ensure that the Quality Assurance (QA) process is documented and communicated and adequate to ensure agreed quality levels for the application.
  • Ensures prioritization of QA issue for faster resolution facilitation.
  • Ensure traceability of test cases to requirements, working with the project to ensure all requirements are tested.
  • Works with developers to identify unit testing coverage and ensure any gaps are documented and addressed.
  • Serve as a team member in the Quality Assurance, Software Testing, planning, specification and design of computer application systems;
  • Performs workflow analysis and recommends quality improvements.
  • Analyze the collected error/defect data to understand better how errors are introduced and can be eliminated
  • Ensure testing of functional areas is complete, tracked and on-schedule
  • Communicate effectively with the development team.
  • Maintain project documentation and course folders during the project lifecycle.
  • Ensures data security and integrity.

Qualifications et expériences requises

Qualifications:

  • Education:            University degree (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent) in the field of Information Technology or equivalent.
  • Experience:          A minimum of five years of experience in software testing of software products.

Having experience in the eLearning domain would be an added advantage

  • Languages:          English and Hindi

Technical Evaluation Criteria:       

The award of the contract shall be made to the individual consultant whose offer has been evaluated and determined as response and having received the highest score out of a pre-determined set of weighted technical and financial criteria specific to the solicitation.

  • Technical Criteria weight - 70%.
  • Financial Criteria weight - 30%.
  • Only candidates obtaining a minimum of 49 points (70% of the total technical points) would be considered for the financial evaluation.

Criteria for Technical Evaluation:

  • Qualification – 10 marks;
  • Relevant Work Experience – 60 marks;

Financial Proposal:

Technically qualified consultants will be requested to submit their daily fee rate i.e. consultants who score more than 70% i.e. 49 marks with respect to the above-mentioned evaluation criteria. Consultant should not specify their consultancy fee on their CV or with the submission. The CV will not be evaluated further in case the consultant submits the same.

Documents to be submitted by Consultants

  1. Letter to UNDP Confirming Interest and Availability for the Individual Contractor Assignment
  2. Updated and signed P-11 form for ICs
  3. No Financials (Daily Fee) to be submitted at this stage

Payment Schedule:

  • Payment will be made on monthly basis for the number of days worked on submission of progress report.
