Antecedentes
Deberes y responsabilidades
- Participate in market research and surveys of local and international market for procurement of goods/services;
- Assist in review of technical specifications and terms of reference received from the national partner organizations for their compliance with the UNDP procurement principles, rules and procedures and their adjustment as necessary;
- Support to implementation of procurement processes including preparation of RFQ drafts and conducting local shopping, receipt of quotations, bids or proposals; assisting in preparing technical and evaluation protocols, memos for contract award;
- Submit procurement cases and recommendations for contract award to the UNDP country office, draft contracts in accordance with the UNDP model contracts and relevant rules and procedures;
- Prepare a complete and quality set of documents for procurement cases that are subject to review by the Contracts, Asset and Procurement Committee (CAP) of the UNDP CO for such a review;
- Assist in drafting of job descriptions for experts who will be hired within the framework of individual contracts;
- Prepare the documents for the process of experts employment in line with existing rules and policies;
- Create requisitions and receipts in Atlas (the UNDP web-based management system);
- Create and modify Vendors in Atlas;
- Maintain procurement monitoring tables and reports of the procurement progress as requested;
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Head of Procurement and Logistics Unit.

- Ability to process large information content, drive for results;
- Strong organizational and analytical skills;
- Strong computer skills (Windows, MS Office, Internet, e-mail).
Habilidades y experiencia requeridas
- Special secondary education or University degree with special raining in procurement and logistics;
- 1 year of experience in the field of procurement and/or international trade;
- Basic knowledge of working processes (purchase orders, preparaion of contracts for services and goods, knowledge of document circulation of business transactions);
- Familiarity with document circulation of foreign trade transactions would be an asset;
- Fluent English (written, spoken);
- Work experience in UN/UNDP agencies would be an asset.
