Antecedentes

The formerly known as UNDP DDR under the Governance and Stabilization cluster is running various pilot, flagship and new programmers such as the Joint project on Women, natural resources and peacebuilding project -and Partnering against Violent Extremism (PAVE) programme. For each programme including the Community Security Stabilization Programme (C2SP) requires the development of PI materials to simply illustrate the programme’s objectives, communicate the project results and support its resource mobilization strategy to a wider audience.

Deberes y responsabilidades

Create comprehensive and appealing public information material for the Programmes;
Create infographic, data visuals and other graphic tools to illustrate the programmatic response;
The consultant will contribute in achieving the above mentioned objectives in the following ways;
Designing logo’s for new Programmes if needed;
Designing public information material;
Ensuring public information material is aligned with the need and the scope of the Programme;
Developing infographics, data visuals and other graphic tools to illustrate the programmatic approach/response/progress/results based on data provided by UNDP;
Cooperating with UNDP on finalisation of the expected outcome.

Competencias

Excellent graphic design skills that show a clear and mature style of design with an understanding to implement in an official UN setting;
Improve and edit art-work, photos, charts and other graphic elements;
Familiarity with layout and design information and communication materials (banners, posters, booklets, leaflets, books, calendars, bulletins, flyers, cards);
Create animations for illustrative purposes such as animations, presentations and more advanced solutions (design of CD/DVD packaging, graphic digitalization);
Familiarity with designing infographics to demonstrate programmatic responses for the UN and UNDP system;
Familiarity with Sudanese context is an advantage;
Excellent written and spoken English.

Habilidades y experiencia requeridas

Master’s degree or equivalent in design, communication, graphic, or related field.

Experience :

At least 5 years of proven working experience in public information material design;

Proven experience of graphic production from start to published/printed product with knowledge of printing processes (offset and digital) and colour management; with previous experience in drafting promotional materials for UN agencies and INGOs working in Sudan;
