The Sustainable Development Goals are an ambitious agenda for global development on which UNDP plays a central role. As the leading UN development agency, our experience, global reach and ability to mobilize different partners makes us well positioned to support the implementation of the SDGs around the world.

While adoption of these goals by over 150 countries is a big step, achieving them is a whole new challenge—one that requires the involvement and support of broad audiences. Only informed and engaged citizens, organizations and communities have the power to demand from governments that their commitments to the Goals are met.
