Antecedentes

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is the UN’s global development network, advocating for change and connecting countries to knowledge, experience and resources to help people build a better life. UNDP works through 136 country offices to provide development advocacy, advice and assistance to 166 countries in Africa, Asia and the Pacific, Arab States, Eastern Europe, CIS, Latin America and the Caribbean, working to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

SDG Integration is at the core of UNDP’s Global Policy Network (GPN), which is leveraged and engaged in the delivery of integrated support to countries on implementation and monitoring of the 2030 Agenda. UNDP’s offer on SDG integration is anchored on four key enabling services areas, including: Integrated Policy Solutions; SDG data, metrics, and analytics; Knowledge and Innovation; and SDG finance. The SDG Integration team works closely with the Strategic Policy Engagement team to mobilize partnerships and drive research on innovative policy solutions and approaches to integrated support on the SDGs.

This internship will focus on (a) helping develop and pilot new approaches for delivering integrated support to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda; and (b) supporting research on a broad range of sustainable development issues, including the impact of disruptive global trends and opportunities of the fourth industrial revolution for developing countries.

UNDP does not pay for internships. The costs associated with the latter must be borne by the nominating institution, related institution or government, which may provide the required financial assistance to its students; or by the student, who will have to obtain financing for subsistence and make his or her own arrangements for travel, accommodation etc.
