Iran Country Coordinating Mechanism (CCM) for the projects under the Global Fund to fight HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria has been established in accordance with the mandate laid out by the Global Fund Board. The structure and the concept of the CCM are intended to reflect the principles of national ownership and participatory decision making. This unique public-private partnership at the national level constitutes the governing body for the use of the Global Fund resources in recipient countries.
Iran-CCM is a national multi-stakeholder public private partnership established in 2002. The CCM currently comprises members from the Government, Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), academia, private sector, and UN agencies.
The Principal Recipient (PR) as nominated by CCM is UNDP Iran, which closely works with national and international partners including, Center for Communicable Disease Control of the Ministry of Health and Medical Education, Prisons Organization, World Health Organization and UNAIDS.
Under direct supervision of CCM Chair/vice Chair and in close coordination with PR, SRs, SSRs and other CCM members and stakeholders including CCM Hub of the Global Fund the technical assistant will support CCM in achieving:
• The planned activities under the CCM Work Plan.
• The defined objectives of the oversight role of CCM as well as a detailed implementation work plan to that end.

Deberes y responsabilidades

By performing the following key functions, the Technical Assistant will support the CCM in fulfilling its role regarding development, submission, approval and implementation of the Global Fund grants in a timely manner and with standard of quality acceptable by the GF.

• Assisting and acting as secretary of CCM Oversight Committee ;

• Updating CCM on the work of Oversight Committee, and seeking feedback from CCM members ;

• Ensuring the implementation of CCM year 2 Work Plan activities as per below list and related timeframes set out in the approved plan

Habilidades y experiencia requeridas

The Consultant is required to have the following eligibility criteria:

Academic Background:

• Advance university degree in area of health, medicine, public health, management or alike.

Experience:

• At least two years of experience on HIV and TB control planning, implementation, monitoring, etc.

• Experienced in academic and official writing report and interpret findings of studies.

• Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and knowledge of spreadsheet and database packages, experience in handling of web-based management systems

Competencies:

• Fluency in written and spoken English and Farsi.
