Duties and Responsibilities

Under the Supervision of the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Coordinator of UNDP China, the intern will be dedicated to the M&E functions of UNDP China Country Office.

 Core Responsibilities:

  • Timely track with projects, including Annual Work Plan, Quarterly Report, Annual Report, etc.
  • Assist with the implementation of the IRRF in the project portfolio and the development of indicators for new projects;
  • Quality control of project work plans and reports;
  • Collect information and support preparation of IWP, ROAR, CO M&E matrix as well as other CO planning and reporting documents;
  • Undertake other tasks as directed by senior management.

Competencies

  • Excellent communication skills (English and Chinese) and writing skills in English;
  • Motivated to learn, attentive to details, and excellent multi-tasking skills;
  • Strong knowledge and skills of MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proficient with VBA is an additional preference 

Required Skills and Experience

  • Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Social Sciences, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Management or a related field; demonstrated interests in international development and M&E;
  • Experience with logic model design, program evaluation, financial auditing would be highly desirable.
