Background
The United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women), grounded in the vision of equality enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations, works for the elimination of discrimination against women and girls; the empowerment of women; and the achievement of equality between women and men as partners and beneficiaries of development, human rights, humanitarian action, and peace and security. UN Women believes that partnerships and collaborative relationships are critical to deliver results for gender equality and empowerment of women and girls. We work with a broad range of partners, including the private sector, all over the world in order to achieve such outcomes.
Recognizing the important contribution that the private sector brings to advancing women’s rights and well-being, UN Women is looking to enhance its engagement with the private sector in Asia Pacific to support the accelerated achievements of gender equality. Such partnerships would enhance the reach of UN Women’s messaging and advocacy and create opportunities for philanthropy.
UN Women wishes to strengthen its capacity for more systematic engagement with the private sector and non-traditional partners in support of innovations for the most disadvantaged women and girls. We are now looking for seasoned expertise to proactively establish new high-impact partnerships with foundations and high net-worth individuals in Asia Pacific, to mobilize resources to realize UN Women’s strategic goals
Duties and Responsibilities
Develop an overall strategy and direct the achievement of ambitious revenue results from the private sector
- Conduct an in-depth mapping of the private sector in Asia Pacific with focus on major donors (HNWIs) and foundations, including the development of a prospect pipeline (based on giving motivations and connections) and customized fundraising strategies for each prospect.
- Based on the mapping, develop a comprehensive private sector strategy, including target setting, and the development of a prospect pipeline and investment cases.
- Design a coherent action plan to targeted to each prospect ensuring effective alignment with UN Women’s priorities.
Establish and manage meaningful partnerships
- Identify, cultivate and steward relationships with high-value partners, particularly HNWIs and Foundations
- Explore and pursue new and innovative fundraising approaches
- Manage engagement with key partners to mobilize and leverage their influence to accelerate the achievement of results for children.
- In close consultation with programme teams, draft project proposals for foundations and high net worth individuals in line with UN Women’s objectives
Establish and manage meaningful partnerships
- Provide coaching to team members in country offices on how to engage foundations and HNWIs. Develop work plans and ensure objectives and targets are achieved.
- Ensure that new partnerships are aligned with UN Women’s due diligence standards, and adequately manage risk

Evaluation
Application will be evaluated based on the Cumulative analysis.
- Technical Qualification (100 points) weight; [80%]
- Financial/Price Proposal (100 points) weight; [20%]
A two-stage procedure is utilized in evaluating the proposals, with technical evaluation through the interview being completed prior to any price proposal being compared. Only the price proposal of the candidates who passed the minimum technical score of 70% of the obtainable score of 100 points in the technical qualification evaluation will be evaluated.

A) a total lump sum amount breaking down into each deliverable plus details of professional fee x no. of working days;
B) a total lump sum of travel costs to and from Bangkok; and
C) others, if any.
