Duties and Responsibilities
The major responsibility in the team is to support The GEF Small Grants Programme (SGP) mainly focusing on (80%~90% of the intern’s time):
•Translation and proof reading for SGP related documents;
•Project information updating (database and website);
•Maintaining close relationship with NGO partners via social media and campaigns;
•Summarizing the good practices from 89 completed and on-going projects;
•Drafting meeting minutes
•Supporting workshop/training organization;
•Supporting project Monitoring &Evaluation
•Ad hoc assignments
Other tasks to support UNDP Environment & Energy Team in general (20%~10% of the intern’s time):
•Translation and interpretation;
•Taking meeting notes
•Knowledge management (contributing to UNDP Social Media by summarizing the events and missions within E&E team)
•Ad hoc assignments
Competencies
- Fluency in English and Chinese
- Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc) and knowledge of spreadsheet and database packages, experience in handling of web based management systems
- General understanding of NGO and international development issues.
