UN Women, grounded in the vision of equality enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations, works for the elimination of discrimination against women and girls; the empowerment of women; and the achievement of equality between women and men as partners and beneficiaries of development, human rights, humanitarian action and peace and security. UN Women in Sudan is working to promote GEWE in the key priority corporate areas of women’s economic empowerment, women’s leadership and political participation, and women, peace and security and humanitarian action. UN Women Sudan has an annual work plan for 2022 that is aligned to its Strategic Note and the SDGs aiming to support GEWE through series of research to avail the gender disaggregated data to support evidence-based planning and effectively monitor change. UN Women is also supporting the strengthening of the women’s movement to build a women agenda in the different areas of intervention of the country office and support the advocacy for transformative change. UN Women Sudan seeks to engage two (2) copy editors through a retainer contract to edit research, communications materials, briefs, reports and other documents and materials that reflect high quality, result-based standard and format established by UN Women
