Background |
|
UN Women, grounded in the vision of equality enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations, works for the elimination of discrimination against women and girls; the empowerment of women; and the achievement of equality between women and men as partners and beneficiaries of development, human rights, humanitarian action and peace and security. The full-scale invasion of Ukraine has had a profoundly negative impact on the lives of women and men, girls and boys, causing widespread destruction, displacement and suffering. To respond to the social, economic, and humanitarian impact of the war, UN Women in Ukraine expands its presence and programmatic activities, thus increasing the number of personnel. Under the technical guidance of the Regional HR Business Partner in HQ, the daily supervision of the Operations Manager and the overall management of the CO Representative and/or her Deputy, the Human Resource (HR) Assistant is responsible for administratively and logistically supporting the recruitment and placement, administration of benefits and entitlements of staff, personnel and local external contractors, other HR administration issues and separation of personnel.
