The Independent Evaluation Office (IEO) of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) carries out Independent Country Programme Reviews (ICPRs) to assess UNDP’s contributions to national development results and evaluate the effectiveness of UNDP’s strategy. The purpose of the ICPR is to: i) support the development of the next UNDP Country Programme Document, and ii) strengthen accountability of UNDP to national stakeholders and to the Executive Board.
In 2020, IEO will conduct the ICPR of Belize. The IEO is hiring an independent national/international consultant to support the data collection and analysis of the areas of climate change, disaster risk reduction, clean and sustainable energy and conservation, restoration and use of ecosystems and national resources, under the Country Programme.

 In the event that in-country mission of the IEO evaluators is not feasible due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the consultant may be asked to carry out the in-person interviews and site visits alone; in such event, the consultant may be requested to conduct in-person interviews in other thematic areas of the country programme.
 In the event that in-country mission of the IEO evaluators is not feasible due to the ongoing COVID-10 pandemic, the debriefing may take place virtually.
