The Office of Information Systems and Technology (OIST) is UNDP’s primary provider of ICT services. Within OIST, the Intranet Project Team is responsible for the overall introduction and roll-out of the UNDP corporate SharePoint platform. The New York-based Intranet Project Team provides advisory services on technical and content structure challenges to UNDP Business Units. The Copenhagen-based GIA team provides overall CO support in UNDP in particular with regards to connectivity support, capacity building, and standardization of managed services.
The Business Analyst is part of the Intranet Team and will be based in Copenhagen, embedded with the GIA team to effectively link UNDP’s global SharePoint ambitions with existing and ongoing CO support.
Devoirs et responsabilités
- Through provision of content and providing business analysis service, strengthen the interface between OIST and UNDP Intranet users regarding the SharePoint Intranet. In particular, serve as a content strategy focal-point for the migration and re-structuring of existing Country Office content and data to the Intranet. Consult with individual COs on their needs and advise on applicable SharePoint features/concepts/solutions, including leveraging ISK maturity levels. Support OIST in ensuring the CO’s compliance with UNDP Intranet standards and guidelines;
- Serve as integration focal point between the Intranet Team and the GIA team to ensure that the Intranet Team’s strategies and developments are effectively leveraged throughout UNDP. At the same point, feed CO lessons learned and user trends, as well as other GIA inputs back to the Intranet Team;
- Oversee and guide a team of support Interns to manage, in collaboration with the business owners, the timely and complete migration of the existing content onto the new Intranet platform. Analyze, assess and design/map a structure for the new content, and coordinate the migration of content;
- Serve as a focal point for ad-hoc content, structural and information challenges and issues for CO site-owners and end-users upon request from the assigned user populations (e.g. UNDP COs);

Qualifications et expériences requises
- University degree in the area of Computer Science, Information Management, Communications, and/or any other related fields is required. Graduate-level degree or enrolment in a graduate-level degree program is a plus.
Work experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience with web-based development projects
- Good working knowledge of content management systems, including MS SharePoint 2010 environment, and implementation of product capabilities
- Programming experience in .NET and C# is desirable
- A firm grasp of topics like usability, accessibility and search optimization, as well as understanding the role of brand in creating digital experiences
- High-level understanding of web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, .NET, Flash, XML) and knowledgeable about latest web technologies and limitations i.e. Ajax, HTML5, CSS-3 etc.
- Proficient in written and spoken English. Knowledge of another UN language would be an asset
- The Daily fee must be “all-inclusive ”; and an IC Time Sheet must be submitted by the Contractor, duly approved by the Individual Contractor’s supervisor, which shall serve as the basis for the payment of fees.
